This year, the Mental Health Foundation is focusing on the impact of loneliness for Mental Health Awareness Week.

What is it?

Loneliness affects millions of people in the UK and is a driving cause of poor mental health. With the extreme changes brought about by the pandemic and the push to work from home, those experiencing loneliness has increased dramatically and it can have a devastating impact.

The aim of this week is to raise awareness of the impact loneliness can have on all of us at one time or another and the many steps we can take to address it.

What can I do?

Reach out to those who may be struggling and don’t be afraid to ask for help, together we can tackle loneliness.

Visit the Mental Health Foundation website where there is more information and practical advice on how to support yourself and others experiencing loneliness.
